<div>
Storyline
In The Beginning
The year is 2021, the peak of human civilization. The World Powers brought forth their greatest researchers and scientist to under take Project Hope.
Project Hope was actually a compilation of many sub-projects.

Project Kronos
Started : May 21st, 2021; 7:06 AM EST<br>
Finished : October 1st, 2043; 8:46 PM EST

The main importance on Project Kronos was to study and perfect human preservation techniques. Cryogenics proved to be the most successful way. Many experiments went horribly wrong until a perfectly frozen human was thawed. It isn't sure but unfortunately psychosis is believed to be a side effect of this process.

Project Aeros
Started : May 21st, 2021; 7:00 AM EST<br>
Finished : March 3rd, 2028; 4:24 PM EST

The next project to go under commission. It's mission was to figure a way to levitate and maintain stable flight of extremely heavy and massive object.

Project Dynamo
Started : May 21st, 2021; 7:02 AM EST<br>
Finished : June 18th, 2040; 4:44 AM EST

Project Dynamo developed and perfected Fusion Energy gathering. Energy yield grew significantly and The Global Energy Crisis was over.

Project Omega
Started : May 21st, 2021; 6:55 AM EST<br>
Finished : May 2nd, 2064; 7:06 PM EST

The Omega Project was by far the hardest and most deadly project. It was suppose to build a super powered weapon. At first it had the force of few thousand Hydrogen Bombs. People feared it with great intensity and protested it completion. Many attempts were made to destroy the labs and the developmental weapon. Many lives were lost by catastrophic failures by the sabotage done to the weapon.

Rise of the Perfected Floating City
In 2065, a new project was planned, Project Varia. The concept of Project Varia was to build a perfect city, completely self supporting. Completely independent of all outside extremities. To protect the city from the terrorists below, the city was lifted high into the atmosphere. With the population a little under half a million, it was completely independent from the Earth below.

Birth of the Novalith Arc Cannon
In order to complete the Omega Project, it's research and labs were moved to Varia. There they completed and built the one and only Novalith Arc Cannon. It's first test subject was Sedna, an astroid located faraway in the Oort Cloud. It was completely vaporized in less than 3.2 seconds. To demonstrate the power of Varia, the President of Varia constantly kept the Cannon to pointed at the Earth below.

The End Day
May 21st, 209X <br>
THE END DAY

A riot broke out upon Varia, Saboteurs attacked the NAC control plant. In less than six minutes, the cannon charged and fired upon the Earth below. With in the last seconds of firing, one brave soul weakened the beam, he joined the Singularity, but lost his body in the process.

Civilization was destroyed.

The Earth's axis shifted and all creatures became mutated. Life would never be the same. Those surviving vowed not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Varia was reorganized and a republic was formed. Chancellor of the republic soon cut off all connection to prevent the mutation from effecting it. The cannon was disassembled and the pieces scattered across the Universe.

Rebirth
An era in which science and technology were shunned, for they had proved to be mankind's downfall, and the ancient arts of sorcery and magic were revived. As the survivors slowly rebuilt their world, towns and villages began to spring up, and the wisest and most capable of the magicians used their magic to keep order.

Peace reigned over the land for a hundred years...

Until a powerful magician named Agemo, intrigued by the forbidden ways of science and technology began to study the principles of machines and the City of Varia. Realizing the power he might wield if he combined his magic with technology, his mind became twisted by the urge to control and dominate his fellow men.

Agemo created a computer capable of simulating his magic powers. He soon attacked Varia politcally and soon enough became the Supreme Chancellor of it. He soon placed his computer on it and from this airborne fortress, he built and controlled his growing empire, until the entire planet was threatened by his ever-spreading evil.

In an attempt to combat Agemo, the other magicians constructed a series of powerful swords, along with powerful items to use with these swords. Combined they posed a threat to Agemo.

Learning of their idea, Agemo seized the weapons; but they had made them too well, and he was unable to destroy them. Knowing they could only defeat him if used together, Agemo scattered the weapons throughout the land and stripped the wise magicians of most of their powers.

Hope
It is said, one day, a mighty soul will come and gather the weapons and once and for defeat the horrid Agemo and destroy his empire. Could you be this hero?

Gameplay
Varia is unique in it's game play as in it is very forgiving. As you progress through the server there are certain choice that will change the the gameplay and story. With Varia's save feature, you can go back play through again and make a different decision.

Ardeo
The world of Ardeo, Quian'Dor is riddled with life, and where there is civlization, nations tend to arise. Nearly every race has a nation of it's own, where they had fled away from possible racism and mistrust by the other races, but over the years they have all slowly begun to intermingle, giving each Nation a decently mixed population. The nations can be divided in roughly three categories, North, South, and Other.

The nations of the North have banded together to repel the constant threat that is the Southern Lands.
Alinon
The human nation of Alinon is a nation united under the banner of the Badger. With the capital city of Cronburg as their shining jewel, the Humans have the center of commerce and politics in the Northern Lands.
The halflings of Smewhabble have lived for years behind the ominous safety of the Black Woods. Now that the first explorers have come through, Smewhabble has once again restored contact with the outside world, and has taken in the education of all aspiring magic users in the Northern Academy of Magic.
Over the ages the wind weathered mountains, but the dwarves of Gath'Ron have always remained strong and resistant against time. The dwarves have built the mighty hold called the Wall next to their city of Kal'Ron, holding the pass between the Northern and the Southern Lands.
Peaceful Life
Life in the Graalian world was peaceful. People built towns, and mined the land of its riches. Farmers planted happily, making sure to water their plants for the upcoming Sylvester.

Merchants sold goods in the streets, as men on horseback patrolled the area for thieves. The people enjoyed the warmth of the day, as the Bomy Moons approached. The world seemed to be in perfect balance.

Preparing for Danger
The world was unprepared for what was about to happen. Sightings of a large meteor were taking place all over the land. Scholars revealed that it wasn't a meteor, but a moon. For many years, the Suns of the Bomy planet had passed near the land. Sometimes, the Suns would pass right over one another. Causing a Sylvester, that heated the Graalian world with bright red intensity.

However, something had went wrong. The Bomy Moon became disaligned from the planet, and was hurdling towards the peaceful world of Graal.

All the Graalians could do was prepare for the worst. The Moon crashed heavily into the sea, causing massive tidal waves to wash over the land. It appeared that the damage had been done... but it was just beginning...

Worldly Changes
The impact of the Moon caused devastating underground destruction. Underwater volcanoes became active from the intense earthquake, causing islands to emerge from the sea. Lava became hard as stone quickly after being engulfed in water. Clouds of ash arose from the water and into the sky.

The tidal waves began to subside, and the half-submerged Moon could be seen in the middle of the land.

Unwelcome Visitors
Approaching the Moon, Graalians witnessed what appeared to be movement on it's surface.

Bomies began to emerge from the craters. When the alien bomies looked around the land, they became enraged. They discovered that their own Bomy race, were being treated like Graalian pets. This caused anger in the alien bomies, and they immediately began to attack the Graalians. The people fought valiantly to save their home. After a long battle, it appeared that the alien bomies had been defeated.

Turn for the Worst
Knowing that they were outnumbered and beaten, the alien bomies enslaved the minds of the small creatures and plants on the land. Seemingly harmless plants and animals began attacking the Graalians. The people had no choice but to retreat. There was little hope left for them, as they quickly fled the island on ships from every shore. They left, knowing that they would return later, to retaliate this assualt. They sailed for what seemed like forever, until they finally found land...

Final Hope
Five islands were discovered by the Graalian people as they approached the shores. The people decided to rebuild their lives on these new islands. They built towns and ports, houses and shops. Soon, they had decided to reclaim the land they had lost. Kingdoms were formed on each island, in an effort to prepare for the approaching battle. These Kingdoms became known as Dustari, Forest, Pirate, Samurai, and Zormite. Each kingdom built armies and castles in preparation for war. It appeared that hope was once again restored in the people of the new lands...

Destiny Awaits
Time is running out... The alien bomies are also building up their civilization. The crashing of the moon has awakened evil deep within the world. It won't be long before the evil spreads to take your land for its own. You must help reclaim the island that was once called home.
Rules
The key feature of Graal Kingdoms is the community - as a result we have created a set of rules to protect both the individuals and group as a whole. These rules are presented solely as a means of protection to our users - but we prefer you simply enjoy the game without any concern; a user typically knows when they are going outside of lines.

Harassment
Harassment is the first and formost rule.

The value of our community is dependant on a healthy environment for our users, as a result of this we shun racism or any other form of discrimination. Beligerance is an aggressive and damaging behavior - there is never a good reason to harass another player.

We invite our users to work their differences out together, even through the rough times; this is, after all, how close friendships are formed.

The Market
The market is very important for Graal Kingdoms.

Because the market is such a vital part of our community we try to shun any sort of cross server trading or even the real money market of items. These markets create an unfair advantage to individuals and the effects ripple through the entire community. Working hard for what you earn is what makes it special, especially when you can reap the benefits of your cool new loot.

We know you want to have fun, but please try to consider the effect your actions have on our players and choose your actions carefully, the administration does not want to determine the results.

Scamming
Scamming is a hostile attack on an individual.

Sometimes when you're trading the other person will accidently give you something they didn't mean to. Sometimes the other person was being careless with their items. Regardless of the reasons - you're taking advantage of another person, and while it may appear as an excellent financial opportunity to you it is at a very dear cost to the other player.

Scamming happens, and we think it is very important for our users to practice their own protection. But scamming never goes unnoticed; there is an end to everything.

Please Consider the following, it is very important to the maintenance of our community.

Our staff are players, they just want to have fun and interact with everyone, but they are reliable people and they protect our community. When they are speaking to you it is very important that you cooperate. Your cooperation will determine how you are treated.

Have you found a bug? Bugs happen, and if you can enjoy it then we honestly invite you to - just let us know. You are welcome to enjoy the fruits of your labor so long as they do not become a threat to the entire community - but always let us know when something unintentional is occuring.

So, have fun folks - but remember these are the rules for our community of Graal Kingdoms. The rules of the code of conduct are also applicable here, and we depend on you to follow them. There can't be rules for everything - sometimes there are special cases and they will have to be treated accordingly; you must acknowledge this before you can enjoy our server. We'll try to keep you informed if we make any changes - but it is your responsibility to stay current with any changes that occur to the rules.

Zormite Republic
Dustari is a imperialistic monarchy based off of medieval times. The current King is Craigus Eldridge.

Taure
Forest is a nature-based kingdom. Its houses are formed out of trees. The current queen is Daya Mar Sana.
Pirates is a kingdom that has a large navy and a rather small land army. The current king is Christopher Wood.

Rising Sun
Samurai is a kingdom based on feudal Japan and it's traditions. It's houses have distinctive paper walls and pagoda roofs. The current king is Kurai Mitsukai.

Storyline

==Chapter 1, Shattered==
In the year 214 an internal struggle for power caused half of the Elven population on Galin-Dalar to sail away in anger. Their powerful magic got them over the ocean to the wasteland that is now called the Southernland. There they found a race of massive Ogres. The Ogres got mutated by the vile magic of the Drow and are now called Orcs. The Drow led the orcs on a path of savagery and bloodlust and made them wage several wars against the Northern races.
Chapter 2, Annihilation
In the year 351 the Drow put an orc named Dian Gragar up as commander of the tribes. The cruel but cunning Gragar lead the orcs to an earthshaking victory at Kal’Ron, only to be driven back by a massive Dwarven army bolstered by the might of the elves, humans, and Halfling magi from the North. After they got driven back into the Southern Lands, the Drow joined in on the battle with full force, and both armies clashed somewhere south of Kal’Ron. The magical forces wielded lit a beacon that could be seen from miles away, leaving nothing but a pit of twisting magical energies in its wake. The entire army was wiped out, and neither the Northern as the Southern Academy could ever regain the power from before the Pit.
Current Status
The Drow have become increasingly hostile lately, and they even managed to land on the shores of Galin-Dalar in an attempt to wipe out their “pathetic” kindred. The Drow are still controlled by someone only referred to as the Highmaster, and he holds the strings of power tightly in his grasp. The Drow population is sparsely spread outside of Dalar’Ni’Alorin, but almost every city in the world has one or two Drow that serve as spies for the Highmaster.
*Nation: Murdriath (See Nation Chart: Murdriath)
*Name Singular: Murdrian
*Name Plural: Murdriai
History:
Chapter 1, Rise of Murdriath
The Murdriai were first made in unison by Muinen, Awne and Lañes, to create a race of guardians for the Core of Magic. The Murdriai, however, seemed to fear the Core, and they created a barrier of rock around it, as soon as they were done, the Core of Magic pulsed, and the rock layer turned into Crystalis. The Murdriai saw it as a sign from the gods who, in their belief, made the Crystalis, and they attempted to excavate the Core. A large shaft was dug around the Core, that was at least 10 paces wide by now, and the shaft was dug over a course of thirty years, after which the leaders of the Murdrian race, small in numbers so short after their creation, decided that it was endless. The leaders declared that they would settle themselves around the Core to hear the will of the Gods, and the whole race began to build houses in the wall shaft, connected by stairway hubs. Soon the city began to grow out of the shaft and it split up in districts, creating a caste system with strict rules and habits.
Chapter 2, Downfall
During this time, the welfare of Murdriath grew and her population thrived. The leadership of Murdriath that time consisted of a league of Arch Magi, all having their little schemes for more power and the death of their opponents. In the end of this internal power struggle, one man came out and declared himself King of Murdriath. His name is not mentioned anywhere but he was the first of what seemed to be a long dynasty of Kings, as he already had grandchildren at the age of 65. However, a mere year after the coronation, a terrible plague swept the mushroom fields, killing countless Murdriai. The King ordered the central city to be locked in await for the plague to pass, but then disaster struck. The entrances on the side of the central city caved in, and the central city inhabitants had no way of breaching the cave walls. No word reached the outer cities of the peril that struck the Core District, since they were still fighting back the plague that swept the caves. The people in the Core District quickly turned against each other in a fight for the last food, and eventually it died out, and the district is still locked out due to the belief of the lower caste in the King’s return.
Current Status
Murdriath is currently still split up into two halves, the one half is the abandoned Core District that starved during the Plague, and the other half is the rest of Murdriath, the farmers with their families, the craftsmen and the soldiers. There is barely any organization and the current leader of the Murdriath Empire is basically the Executioner, He who brings Law, since he keeps the peace and no one dares to lay a hand on him. The Murdriai still live on unnoticed underground, not even by the dwarves, who have not dared to dig so deep.
Physical features
Player owned Property, or POP, is a central point in Ardeo's economy. As the name describes, POP is a collection of locations and structures that a player can own.

Available Player Owned Property
*Houses
*Shops
*Ships
*Islands
*Holds
*Farmland

Property Add-ons/Furniture
POP can be filled with furniture, ranging from functional items like tables, chairs, and counters, to decorative items likes flowerpots and paintings, but also storage items like chests, crates, barrels, and cupboards. These items can be acquired by crafting, trade, or adventuring. Items will also be available for Averus. (See the Cash Shop document for more details)
For POP players can also buy extensions. Depending on the POP, these extensions can take various shape, and players who own property will be given a list with options by the World Designer staff.

Rules on Player Owned Property.
*1. Property can be locked for everyone without a key, by anyone with a key.
*2. Doors to personal property are indestructible to prevent property harassment.
*3. Players are free to trade property keys, but scamming players in or out of their property is something that ruins the game, therefore forbidden.
* 4. Objects in the property can be stolen or destroyed if the property isn’t properly locked. This rule also applies to NPC houses, the script will at random assign a house that is to be unlocked. NPCs will have a wealth factor, placed on the owner of a house, which defines how long it takes for the stolen/broken object to be replaced.
* 5. One room in the property is always safe, if the property only has one room, this room is safe from theft and destruction.
*6. If pre-owned property becomes available, all contents will stay in the property while it is being repossessed.
NOTE: These rules are for the global server, not the specific countries. For more information on nation laws, read about Legislation.
NOTE: For general game play rules, read the Ardeo Rules .
There are several kinds of Government Owned Property and all of them have a different purpose and use.

Mines
Mine controlled by the government has two directions: Commercial use and governmental use.
Mines at different locations yield different resources.
Commercial use allows players to rent a period of time or a part of the mine to work on with their own equipment. Produce and materials obtained by players will not be government property and can only be taxed to a certain percentage, to avoid player disgruntlement.
Governmental use puts the mine in direct charge of the government. The mine will produce a certain amount of resources, dependent on the amount of money the government invests in hiring NPCs to do work. The Government can also hire players to work, but this is less reliable and more expensive.

Forests
Forests are sources of wood to supply armies with weaponry, like arrows, spearshafts, etcetera. Also used in the construction of houses and other buildings.
Forests can be directed in three ways.
The first way is commercial use. This allows players to reap the resources of the forest for a specific period of time or a specific part of the forest. The resources that the player procures is the player’s property and the government can only tax it to a certain degree, to avoid player disgruntlement.
The second way is economic governmental use. The government hires an NPC crew to exploit the forests and gets a steady trickle of wood and game in the storages.
The third, and most odd, way is ecologic governmental. The government turns the forest into a reserve for wildlife and nature to restore the ecology of the forest. It also makes nearby cities happier. This setting needs to be used every once in a while, depending on the intensity of the exploitation.

Farmland
Farmland can be rented out to farmers, or being under the direct control of a government official to produce food for the army.
Farmland has two directions
First is the commercial direction, where players can claim a small area of land and raise crops or tend to animals. The government can only tax the player’s gain to a certain degree.
Second is the governmental direction. The government takes direct control of a farm to tend crops and keep the produce for state use. Farms like this will yield a steady trickle of crops every once in a while, and do provide good income for government.

Cities
Cities encompass towns, villages, metropolises, basically everything that is a group of houses and business in one place. The government has control over police patrols, city taxes, and expansion.

Islands
Islands can be claimed by the government to extract the resources, or to build a settlement on it. Islands can be used for any purpose that the government sees fit.

Holds
Holds are strategic key points in the nation’s military operations. These giant structures are often used as pvp objectives.
There are four different grades of Holds.
*1.Fortification.
Fortifications are the smallest of Holds and are often made of wood and constructed shabbily out of haste or temporary needs. Government can order the construction of these on short notice.
*2. Fortress.
Fortresses are stronger than fortifications and are often used to hold smaller areas for extended amounts of time. These fortresses are often made of stone mixed with wood, and aren’t as shabbily constructed as Fortifications but are still not able to resist longer or stronger sieges.
*3. Keep.
A keep is a solid construction made of stone and stronger reinforcement materials. These keeps can hold themselves in longer sieges and tougher battles, and are often populated around the walls.
*4. Castle.
Castles are massive constructions and often citadels of power to provide safety for huge areas. Castles are self-sufficient towns and often labeled cities.
