Winter has come to Unholy Nation!

This year, winter has hit the world harder than ever. Though, with the winter season coming around, the world has become more of an interactive winter wonderland with a brand new, nice looking tileset.

With the Christmas holiday approaching soon, the main towns around the world have been decorated to satisfy the holiday mood. Buried in the snow, hides quests which allow you to obtain special Christmas holiday and winter NPCs, to satisfy the holiday mood even further. If you're obsessed with the holiday mood, you can even give presents to your friends, Graal families, and guild members to show your appreciation and love! You can even find presents with fun prizes around the world too! What's in them? That's for you to find out! From EP, to gralats, to special gifts, who knows! But, if you're on Santa's bad list, then you might just get some coal.

Last of all, be apart of the world. Participate in our holiday and winter hat competition. Create your own holiday/winter hat, submit it to the server, and vote on the wide variety of hats to win the competition. You can even win your own hat and others can buy them too!

So, come celebrate the holidays with Unholy Nation and be apart of the fun!

As known, one of the most interesting things on GraalOnline is developing worlds. Whether in animation, graphics, levels, or scripting, these development skills are one of the most powerful things on the game.

Of course, being staff on a world doesn't hold back the chance to have your own content on a world. For years now, GraalOnline players have improved their creativity and skills to develop their own player graphics! That's right, whether in bodies, heads, shields, or swords; you can make your player look however you want! Whether being from the future, in a high-tech outfit to being a knight in the medieval times, all these custom looks can be made at your own wish!

Below are some templates for custom player looks.

These templates can be editted in whatever graphics program wished. Even Microsoft Paint. To set transparency, it's recommended to use AniMagic or Giffy, which can be found searching Google, as both of these programs are free. Something that makes Graal very interesting is that you can create your own online game. You can become staff at a server and upload your own graphics, maps, add monsters or even create a new style of game. A '''tileset''' is simply a set of [[tile]]s, standardly held in a large png. [[Scripter|Scripters]] can tell the [[client]] to use a given tileset - either replacing or editing the default pics1.png - through use of the addtiledef and addtiledef2 commands.

With the addition of the addtiledef and addtiledef2 commands, new worlds on GraalOnline have used tilesets to create worlds that are different from the original GraalOnline.

Developers whether in graphics, levels, or scripting can create their own tilesets to make a unique world, depending on which world someone wishes to created.

Of course, creating custom tilesets from the default tileset of pics1.png can be quite difficult. There's a number of questions on how the tiles work and where to place the tiles. A few examples and templates have been created to help new developers create tilesets.

The following image is a legend composed of colors to tell how each tiles work and where those tiles can be placed.

The following image is for the tileset TYPE 0, which is the TYPE that pics1.png uses. This is quite a complicated tileset, because the tiles are all over the place. Developers who wish to use this tileset template are recommended to use the pics1.png tileset with modification to fit their needs, either editting the image or using addtiledef2.

The following image is for the tileset TYPE 1, which is a new tileset template that was created. Worlds such as Era use this template for their tilesets. This tileset is recommended for new themes worlds, which aren't similiar to the classic themed works such as N-Pulse. This tileset makes more logical sense and organized with tiles being in sections, such as blocking tiles and non blocking tiles.

*Malinko once created an example tileset for those who wish to learn the TYPE 1 tileset. He themed it according to an edit of pics1.png he created because he wanted to give an example on how both classic and new worlds can create tilesets using TYPE 1. This tileset template can be used for whatever world wished, as long as edits are made and it looks nice. Note, this tileset was not finished, but was provided as an example.

Aeon is a server that features a little bit all of types (Role Playing, Modern, Classic, Futuristic). It is currently a Graal [[Hosted server]]. Formerly known as Arkland Empires.

==Naming==

Aeon was renamed from ‘Arkland Empires’ to better fit the server’s theme. The word ‘Aeon’ can be defined as ‘an eternal frame of time’. The server’s worlds are modeled after different time periods. AEON also serves as an acronym for the servers worlds (Arkland Elan Opan NSC-tt).

==History==
Aeon was founded early July 2003 by [[User:sage_scooby|Sage Cypher]] and [[User:iLLusioNofGranduer|NerFBaSs]] (also known as Lothar), under the name ‘Arkland Empires’. These two founding members still remain part of the server’s staff, as Owner and Co-Owner, respectfully. Aeon’s current Managers ([[User:Napo|Napo]] and [[User:Poodie|Poodie]]) have also been part of the development team since July 2003.

Aeon was originally meant to be a classic-style server, but as the server grew, the development skills of the staff grew as well. As a result, the server staff decided to make a new type of server that features different worlds; each world with a different theme. Soon after this decision, the server was renamed from ‘Arkland Empires’ to ‘Aeon’.

There are essentially four different worlds on Aeon.

Arkland is Aeon’s Role-Playing (RP world). This world is still under heavy construction, as it is being completely re-scripted from old gscript to GS2. This world will feature various role-playing elements, such as kingdoms and classes. Arkland will use a custom-built mudlib, based off of Graal Kingdom’s, but simpler in design to increase speed.

Inverness (NPC Administrator) is the leader of Project Arkland.

Elan is Aeon’s classic world. This world was modeled with classic players in mind. The world features quests, guilds, and good ol’ classic sparring and PK.

Opan is Aeon’s modern world. This world features guns, gangs, cars, helicopters, and other various ‘modern’ items.

Although not really a world, the NSC space station is set to be the most pivotal part of the server. Little has been released to the public about this world, but it is known that it will be a link to the rest of the worlds. The station will also serve as an orientation for the new players.

Malinko, a member of the Playerworld Administration once wrote a basic review to interest the GraalOnline community about the concept of AEON. The purpose of the review was to advertise the playerworld, support the idea, and to interest the community on doing the same.
