Loriel came up with the idea of this wiki, and installed the software. He also runs a sadly inactive [[Ilfirin.org Graal Forum|forum]], and convinced [[Alexander]] of founding [[GScript IRC channel|#gscript]], in which he is a high-level channel operator.

Despite his ultimately nice character, many hate him. Clearly they must be blinded by his leetness.

==Development Areas==

Loriel thinks of himself as quite capable in [[Level making]], to some extent, and especially [[NPC scripting]]. His [[Graphics editing]] skills far are less developed. However, he remains largely inactive.

In contrast, he has no clue at all of [[3D development]] and is not interested either.

Loriel invests quite some time into `real' programming (C(++), Java and especially Ruby, some minor other things), though his skills are quite lacking in this area.

== Staff Positions ==

Loriel only recently resigned from [[GST]] due to the bad management and coordination among the [[Global]] [[Graal administration|staff]]. In the past, Loriel also was [[Game Master]]/"Gaming Officer" and has held various other similar positions.

Previously, Loriel managed [[Graal2001]] and has for a long time been responsible for it. Currently, he holds a minor development position on this pseudo-[[playerworld]].

He liberally moderated the [[GCC:Future improvements]], [[GCC:Tech support]] and [[GCC:NPC scripting]] subforums of the [[Graal Communication Center]].

After his [[RC]] access was revoked by [[Spark911]], assumedly in the name of [[Stefan]], and his account was transformed to a mere [[Trial account]] by [[Unixmad]], he is currently no longer associated with [[Graal]].

I disagree with this edit. I grant that 'online RPG' is ambiguous, but nobody claimed that the two terms were identical. And the persistence of the world is just a product of the massively multiplayer-ness. I don't think it needs to be examined in detail.<br\>
Personally, I would at most point out that there are other, non-MM games that could also qualify as 'online RPG's, and that the term is thus fuzzy.

Kai, are you saying that whoever's (dont feel like searching to see who made it originally) comment that online rpg is identical (the comment that some people just call it an online rpg, but let's face it, they have a point)? My edit is very accurate, one example (of the second type of "online rpg", where it just means one capable of going online) is baldur's gate, where you just do the singlke player mode with a few players. That is nothing like an MMORPG. As for the first one, there aren't any huge ones, but just sdearch for "online rpg" and you'll find a few singleplayer ones.<br\>

A semi-commonly used abbreviation for '''Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game'''. People will often use "online RPG" instead, though that is flawed, for a few reasons. The first reason is that there are single player rpgs found online, thus technically being online RPGs. The second is because the "Massively Multiplayer" term differs it from normal multiplayer in that a MMORPG is constantly evolving, changing, and going on without a player being there. In a normal Multiplayer RPG it starts and ends when the players who are connecting to a server start and end it. It also itsn't evolving, and a MMORPG will usually have many more features than a standard rpg that can be played online with other people.

Discussion of any non-[[Graal]] MMORPG (although Graal's MMORPG status is debatable) is banned from the [[Graal Communication Center]]. There is no official reason given for this rule, although the motivations behind it are rather obvious...

Started as four nearly empty gmaps and a playerhearts system, now using several custom systems with a near complete main map and four sidemaps in development. Elemental Kingdoms is playable, but is currently limited due to problems with the GS2 error detector which tends to disable scripts if they aren't perfect.

Custom hp and damage system. Creative Experience and Power Systems. Many weapons. Ability to specialize with Class and Element, and soon subclasses as well. Selecting a few to elarn, he began making some low quality npcs to fool around with, starting with such things as a room where you have to touch the right arrow shooting block to open a door, and then sword your wway through the blocking wall.

As he became better, he made a tiny offline game, which didn't yet use custom weapons, and used only basic graal functions. Later, as he learned more, he started making a 3 chapter offline game, which was fairly advanced for his scripting age, yet he decided not to released the overall bugged and unfinished game to the public.

Later, he got a scripting job at Toratasu online, where he gained a long lasting friend on graal, [[Nitro2030ce]]. There he became very good with clientside, and first learned about serversiude and began dabbling with it (mostly unsuccessfully). He designed half a dozen weapons and a prototype monster before being fired and banned by Hotrian for reasons unknown.

After that he went to playerworld Eternal, where he tried and failed to get a job there, since the admin wanted only people fluent with serverside. Offline, he dabbled and eventually learned the right formats for serverside, with that same admin's help.

He still wasn't considered good enough however, so he began working on an offline project that he, his brother, and [[Nitro2030ce|Nitro]] were goign to turn into a playerworld. [[Elemental Kingdoms]] was created. Low content at first, it quickly grew into a playable server, and is currently on the hosted tab. There he developed many scripting skills and got to where he is today (with minimal help from forums and [[Projectshifter]]). He currently is owner of EK and Admin on Lenok, where he debugs and helps convert to GS2. [[Stefan]] Just recently enabled [[Gscript2|GS2]] on his server, and is currently working to convert npcs over and stop all of the errors his rc reports.

Currently (according to kaimetsu, nothing has been proved yet), Falco has managed to piss off and annoy [[People_who_think_that_Falco_is_a_moron|about twenty people]], all based off of Kaimetsu's brand of thinking1. If you know Kaimetsu, you know what this refers to. Falco has had many arguments with Kaimetsu, all ending with either Falco giving up at Kai's stubborness, or a mod closing it because they are allied with Kai ([[Loriel]] for instance). Currently Falco still gets scripting help from the few people on the forums who know he actually tries to learn, and ignores those who think he's one of the copy paste fix mmy script people.

So far the only arguments he has "lost" were to Kai, usually because he gives up or a [[Loriel|Mod]] closes it, one that agrees with kai of course.
